Abstract:Objective Our study aimed to assess the effecacy of Dapagliflozin to treat patients with type 2 diabetes and heart failure(HF).Specially focus on the effect of cardiac function, inflammatory factors and myocardial fibrosis index-es.Methods Our study collected 106 patients with acute or chronic left HF and type 2 diabetes who hospitalized in the Department of Cardiology of our hospital during January 2022 to January 2024.According to the treatment strategy divided into control and experimental group, and 53 patients in each group. The patients in control group received conventional treatment, and the patients in experimental group add Dapagliflozin in addition to conventional treatment.Observations and comparison the change of inflammatory factors(TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6,hs-CRP),cardiac function indicators(LVEF,LVEDD)and myocardial fibrosis indicators(ST2,BNP,MCP-1)in two groups. Results The results showed that the inflammatory factors in experi-mental group significantly decreased compared with control group in 4 weeks after treatment(P<0.05).In addition,LVEF was significantly increased, while LVEDD was significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the levels of myocardial fibrosis indicators ST2,BNP and MCP-1 were significantly decreased(P<0.001)in experimental group. Conclusion Dapagliflozin not only significantly decrease the inflammatory response, but also improve cardiac function and myocardial fibrosis indicators in pa-tients with type 2 diabetes and HF,and shows the potential advantages in HF treatment.
