Changes in Serum Cytokines in Dilated Cardiomyopathy Patients with Heart Failure and Their Diagnostic Value

Abstract：Objective Investigating the Changes in Serum Cytokines in Patients with Dilated Cardiomyopathy(DCM)Complicated with Heart Failure(HF)and the Correlation between Cytokines and DCM-HF,as well as Their Diagnostic Val-ue.Methods A total of 114 patients diagnosed with DCM complicated with HF at the Second Hospital of Bazhou City,Hebei Province,from January 2022 to December 2023 were included as the observation group.Additionally,71 healthy in-dividuals from the same hospital undergoing routine physical examinations were selected as the control group.Baseline data(such as age,gender,smoking,family history,etc.)and levels of 12 inflammatory cytokines[Interleukin(IL)-β,IL-2,IL-4,IL-5,IL-6,IL-8,IL-10,IL-17A,IL-12P70,Interferon(IFN)-α,IFN-γ,Tumor Necrosis Factor(TNF)-α]were recorded for both groups.The levels of inflammatory cytokines between the control and observation groups were compared,and indepen-dent risk factors for DCM complicated with HF were identified using the Logistic regression model.The diagnostic efficacy of inflammatory cytokines for DCM complicated with HF was analyzed using the Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC)curve.Results Compared with the control group,the levels of IL-β,IL-6,IL-8,TNF-α,IFN-γ,and IL-12P70 in the ob-servation group were significantly increased,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).Binary Logistic multifactorial regression analysis revealed that gender,IL-6,and IL-8 are independent risk factors for DCM complicated with HF(P＜0.05).ROC curve analysis for IL-6,IL-8,and the combined diagnosis of the two indicators showed areas under the curve(AUC)of 0.715,0.788,and 0.878,respectively.Conclusion IL-6 and IL-8 are independent risk fac-tors for DCM complicated with HF,and the combined application of IL-6 and IL-8 has certain diagnostic effi-cacy for DCM complicated with HF.
