Abstract:Objective The aim of this study was to analyze the predictive value of high-frequency color Doppler ultra-sound imaging features and blood flow parameters in the diagnosis of invasive ductal carcinoma(IDC)of the breast. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on clinical data from 72 patients diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma who were treated at Tongling Municipal Hospital,Anhui Province, between January 2019 and December 2023(observation group). An additional 85 patients with atypical ductal hyperplasia of the breast were included as the control group. All patients underwent high-frequency color Doppler ultrasound examination.Univariate analysis was performed to compare the imaging features(shape,boundary,inter-nal echogenicity, posterior acoustic enhancement, calcification)and blood flow parameters(blood flow grading, resistance index[RI],peak systolic velocity[PSV])between the two groups.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to identify ultrasound indi-cators associated with IDC.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis was employed to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of high-frequency color Doppler ultrasound in IDC.Results In the observation group,high-frequency color Doppler ultrasound revealed a higher proportion of irregular shape, unclear boundaries, heterogeneous internal echogenicity, posterior acoustic shadow-ing,microcalcifications,and blood flow grading at level 3.The RI and PSV were significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Logistic regression results showed that irregular shape, unclear boundaries, heterogeneous internal echogenicity, posterior acoustic shadowing, presence of microcalcifications, blood flow grading of level 3,elevated RI,and PSV were significant factors for diagnosing IDC(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis demonstrated that the combined use of high-frequency color Doppler ultrasound indicators had a high diagnostic efficacy for IDC.Conclusion High-frequency color Doppler ultrasound imaging features and blood flow parameters have significant application value in the evaluation of ductal carci-noma in situ(DCIS)of the breast.
