Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of sequential therapy of terbutaline and azithromycin on serum T-cell immunoglobulin mucin molecule 3 (TIM3) and NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) in children with mycoplasma pneumo-nia.Methods 102 children with mycoplasma pneumonia admitted to Ankang maternal and child health hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were divided into study group (n=51) and control group (n=51) according to random number table method. The control group was treated with conventional symptomatic treatment and sequential azithromycin therapy, and the study group was treated with terbutaline aerosol inhalation therapy on the basis of sequential azithromycin therapy. The clinical efficacy,TIM3,NLRP3,inflammatory factors and adverse reactions were compared in two groups. Results The total effec-tive rate in study group was higher than that of the control group,(P<0.05);After treatment, the levels of serum TIM3,NL-RP3,interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor alpha in both groups of children decreased, and the indexes in study group was lower than those in control group(P<0.05);The adverse reactions between the study group and the control group (15.69%vs 13.73%) was no statistically significant(x2=0.078,P=0.780).Conclusion Terbutaline combined with azithromycin sequential therapy has good efficacy and safety in the treatment of children with mycoplasma pneumonia, which can reduce the levels of serum TIM3 and NLRP3 and improve the inflammatory factors in children. It is worthy of clinical promotion.
