Abstract:Objective To explore the intervention effects of the "Xuanfei Qi lowering" acupuncture method combined with respiratory training on pulmonary function in patients with pulmonary infections during the recovery phase of ischemic stroke. Methods This study included 80 patients with ischemic stroke in the recovery phase, complicated by pulmonary in-fections,who were admitted to our hospital from September 2022 to September 2023.The patients were randomly divided into an observation group (42 cases) and a control group (38 cases) using a random number method. The control group received traditional respiratory training, while the observation group underwent"Xuanfei Qi lowering"acupuncture combined with re-spiratory training. The treatment was administered once daily, six times a week, for four weeks. The therapeutic effects of the two interventions were evaluated through inflammatory markers, pulmonary ventilation and inspiratory muscle function, fatigue severity, neurological function deficit, and clinical efficacy. Results After treatment,Inflammatory markers:PCT and CRP levels in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05).Pulmonary and inspiratory muscle function:Levels of FEV1,FVC,PEF,MVV,PIF,and MIP in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05).Fatigue severity and neurological function:NIHSS and FSS scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05).Clinical efficacy:The total effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of"Xuanfei Qi lowering"acupuncture and breathing training can effectively improve the lung function of patients, reduce inflam-mation,improve the degree of nerve function injury, and improve the ability of inspiratory muscle and the recovery of lung function.
