Clinical Study of Bushen Huatan Decoction Combined with Acupuncture in the Treatment of Obese Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Abstract：Objective To explore the comprehensive effect of Bushen Huatan decoction combined with acupuncture in the treatment of PCOS.Methods 102 patients with obese PCOS who were treated between2022.01～2023.12 were divid-ed into group observation,control group,n=51.The group control was treated with western medicine,while the observation group was treated with Bushen Huatan decoction combined with acupuncture.The clinical efficacy,traditional Chinese medi-cine syndrome score,sex hormone levels,body mass index (BMI),and treatment safety were compared between two groups.Results The group observation total effective rate was higher than group control(P<0.05).The observation group TCM syn-drome score was lower than control group (P<0.05).After treatment,the group observation serum testosterone,luteinizing hormone (LH),follicle stimulating hormone (FSH),and BMI were lower than control group,while estradiol was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of Bushen Huatan decoction and acupuncture has a good effect on the treatment of obese PCOS,which can alleviate traditional Chinese medicine syndrome,improve patient sex hormone levels,re-duce BMI,and have good treatment safety.
