Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of visual training System 4 (VTS 4) on the reconstruction of optic nerve function in children with ametropic amblyopia. Methods 100 children with ametropic amblyopia (100 eyes) were se-lected from Qingdao Haici traditional chinese medicine medical group north campus (Qingdao Hongdao people's hospital) from August 2020 to February 2024.According to their treatment methods, they were divided into the traditional treatment group (46 eyes) (traditional refractive correction) and the VTS 4 adjuvant treatment group (VTS 4 adjuvant refractive correction) (54 eyes) .After 6 months of treatment, the visual function formation of the two groups of children was observed, and the vis-ual acuity level, visual sensitivity, corrected near-stereoscopic acuity, corrected convergence range and corrected separate range were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results Compared with before treatment,6 months after treatment, the formation rate of grade Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ visual function in VTS 4 treatment group and traditional treatment group was increased, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) .Six months after treatment, the formation rates of grade Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ visual function in VTS 4 treatment group were higher than those in traditional treatment group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Compared with before treatment, the visual acuity level of VTS 4 treat-ment group and traditional treatment group was increased at 6 months after treatment, and the difference was statistically signif-icant (P<0.05).The visual acuity level of VTS 4 treatment group was higher than that of traditional treatment group at 3 months and 6 months after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Compared with before treat-ment,after 6 months after treatment, the VTS 4 treatment group and the traditional treatment group were 10%[VTS 4 treat-ment group:(0.81±0.16) vs.(0.64±0.14),the traditional treatment group:(0.70±0.12) vs.(0.63±0.13)],25%[At 25% contrast, the VTS 4 treatment group had higher visual sensitivity[(1.16±0.14) vs.(0.86±0.15)],and the traditional treatment group had[(0.96±0.16) vs.(0.84±0.16)],75%[VTS 4 treatment group:(1.34±0.18) vs.(1.19±0.16),traditional treatment group:(1.26±0.17) vs.(1.16±0.18)],100%[VTS 4 treatment group:(1.69±0.19) vs.(1.29±0.16),traditional treatment group:(1.52±0.21) vs.(1.28±0.18)]The visual sensitivity of contrast increased, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Six months after treatment, the VTS 4 treatment group had higher visual sensitivity at 10% contrast[(0.81±0.16) vs.(0.70±0.12)]" and 25%[(1.16+0.14) vs (0.96+0.16)]and 75%[(1.34+0.18) vs (1.26+0.17)]and 100%[(1.69+0.19) vs (1.5) The visual sensitivity of 2±0.21)]was higher than that of the traditional treatment group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Af-ter treatment, the correction convergence range[(16.39±2.91) ° vs.(11.56±2.46) °]and the correction separation range[(3.46±0.16) °vs.(2.76±0.19) °]of the VTS 4 treatment group were higher than those of the traditional treat-ment group. The corrected near-stereoscopic acuity[(76.39±11.96) °vs.(121.37±11.43) °]was lower than that of the traditional treatment group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion VTS4 assisted with tra-ditional refractive correction can improve the visual acuity of children with ametropic amblyopia and promote the reconstruction of optic nerve function.
