Abstract:Objective To study the value of quantitative ultrasonography parameters combined with alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) and phosphatidylinositol proteoglycan 3 (GPC3) in predicting hepatocarcinogenesis in the context of liver cirrhosis. Methods Ninety-one patients with cirrhosis included in Kailuan general hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were retrospectively selected as the control group, and another 27 patients with cirrhosis combined with hepatocellular carcinoma were selected as the study group, and the clinical data,AFP,GPC3,and ultrasonographic quantitative parameters of the two groups were compared, and the subjects' work characteristic curves (ROC) were plotted to analyze ultrasonographic quantita-tive parameters The value of combined AFP and GPC3 in predicting hepatocarcinogenesis in the context of cirrhosis.ResultsContour time, enhancement time, and time to peak were lower in the study group than in the control group, but peak intensity was higher in the study group compared with the control group (P<0.05) .AFP and GPC3 were higher in the study group than in the control group (P<0.05).From the ROC graph,it was found that the AUC of each index for predicting hepatocar-cinogenesis in the context of cirrhosis was 0.889,0.957,0.805,0.535,0.737,0.704,respectively,but the combined pre-diction reached 0.981 (95%CI:0.950-1.000),which was significantly higher than that of a single index (P<0.05).Con-clusion Ultrasonography quantitative parameters combined with AFP and GPC3 have an important role in predicting hepato-carcinogenesis in the background of liver cirrhosis, which is worth to popularize its use in clinical practice.
