Treating Anxiety-Related Insomnia From the Perspective of 'Shao Yang' Acupuncture

Abstract:Anxiety-related insomnia is characterized by the co-occurrence of insomnia and emotional anxiety. This article summarizes Professor Chen Feng's clinical experience in treating anxiety-related insomnia with acupuncture,based on the concept of 'Shao Yang',and discusses the pathology,treatment methods,and clinical cases of anxiety-related insom-nia. The clinical summary includes the therapeutic principles of dredging the gallbladder pivot,regulating the spleen and stomach,strengthening the brain orifices,and calming the mind,providing an acupuncture treatment approach for managing anxiety-related insomnia.
