Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of game therapy combined with auditory integration training on children with speech delay. Methods A total of 164 children with language developmental delay (LDD) admitted to Changzhou Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from January 2022 to March 2023 were divided into the control group (n=82,routine language rehabilitation training) and the observation group (n=82,game therapy combined with auditory inte-gration training) using the random number table method. The intervention lasted for 3 months, and the patients were followed uPfor 1 year. The effects of language rehabilitation and the changes in developmental quotient, language behavior ability, and social adaptability before and after intervention were recorded. Results After 3 months of intervention, the observation group had a lower abnormal rate of language comprehension ability, language expression ability, and communication attitude, and higher VerBAS scores (P<0.05). After 3 months of intervention and at the last follow-up,the scores of adaptability,ver-bal ability, personal social behavior, and fine motor dimension in the Gesell pediatric neuropsychological development scale in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Additionally, the scores of awareness,reflec-tion,and coping in the social adaptability questionnaire were also higher (P<0.05). Conclusions Game therapy combined with auditory integration training can improve the mental and language development level of children with speech delay,en-hance their language behavior ability and social adaptation ability, and improve the overall rehabilitation effect.
