Research Progress of Focused Ultrasound for Neuropathic Pain

Abstract：Focused ultrasound(FUS)is a novel non-invasive treatment method with biological effects,such as me-chanical,cavitational,and thermal effects.In recent years,progress has been made in FUS in the treatment of neuropathic pain(NP).As a physical therapy method,FUS can treat pain through neuromodulation.It can also achieve the effect of pain treatment by thermal ablation on the target tissue,which has the advantages of targeting,high resolution,and non-invasiveness.This paper briefly reviews the research progress of FUS in NP treatment in recent years.
