Progress in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Postpartum Depression

Abstract:Postpartum depression(PPD)is the most common mental disorder after delivery.The pathogenesis of PPD is complicated and unclear.Currently,the incidence rate of PPD reported in different studies varies greatly;however,it is ba-sically agreed that PPD has a high incidence rate,and great harm,which has become a global public health problem affecting the health of mothers and infants.PPD not only affects mothers,but also has a significant impact and harm on infants and fam-ilies.Therefore,timely diagnosis and targeted intervention have become research hotspots.This article reviews the diagnosis ad treatment status,progress,and future development direction of PPD.
