Abstract:Objective To investigate the application effect of online and offline holistic optimization intervention based on the concept of rapid rehabilitation in elderly patients with sarcopenia undergoing total hip arthroplasty(THA).Methods A total of 104 elderly patients with sarcopenia admitted to our hospital from April 2021 to April 2023 who under-went THA were selected and divided into a control group(n =52)and an observation group(n =52)according to the differ-ent intervention methods. The control group was given conventional perioperative interventions, and on this basis, the observa-tion group was given the online and offline holistic optimization interventions based on the concept of rapid rehabilitation.Hos-pitalization,incidence of adverse events, compliance, visual analogue scale(VAS),short physical performance battery(SPPB),hip disability and osteoarthritis outcome score(HOOS),Harris hip function and Barthel Index(BI)scores were compared between the two groups. Results The first time of off-bed activity, the first time of defecation and the length of hospitalization in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.01).VAS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group at 3 and 7 days after surgery(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse e-vents in the observation group was 3.85%(2/52),which was lower than that in the control group[17.31%(9/52)](P<0.05).The total compliance of observation group was 96.15%(50/52),which was higher than that of control group[78.85%(41/52)](P<0.05).Scores of SPPB,HOOS,Harris, and BI in observation group were higher than those in control group at 1 and 3 months after operation(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of online and offline holistic opti-mization intervention based on the concept of rapid rehabilitation in elderly THA patients with sarcopenia can reduce postopera-tive pain, reduce adverse events, improve compliance, promote the improvement of hip joint and physical function, and con-tribute to the recovery of patient prognosis.
