Abstract:MicroRNAs(miRNAs)possess important biological functions.Hsa-miR-183 is a member of the human miRNA-183 family, which was previously thought to be enriched in visual and sensory organs. However, recently,it has been found that Hsa-miR-183 is abnormally expressed in tumor tissues and cells, especially in the occurrence and development of common tumors in the digestive system. Its expression varies greatly in tumor tissues and cells, and it plays the dual functions of promoting or suppressing cancer by regulating different target genes or signaling pathways. This paper summarized the ex-pression of Hsa-miR-183 in common tumors of the digestive system and its role in their occurrence and development, revealing the mechanism by which Hsa-miR-183 regulates the malignant biological behavior of tumor progression through target genes, thus suggesting that Hsa-miR-183 might be a new molecule for accurate diagnosis and individualized treatment of common tumors of the digestive system. It also provides a basis for elucidating the function of Hsa-miR-183 in the progression of com-mon tumors of the digestive system.
