Study on the Correlation between FOXO3a Gene Genetic Polymorphism and Vitiligo Susceptibility Risk in A Certain Area

Abstract：Objective To investigate the correlation between the genetic polymorphism of FOXO3a gene and the sus-ceptibility to vitiligo in a certain area.Methods A total of 197 patients with vitiligo admitted to our hospital from March 2020 to February 2023 were included in the vitiligo group,and 250 healthy people who underwent health examination during the same period were included in the health group.rs4946936 genotype of FOXO3a gene was identified by PCR with restriction fragment length polymorphism.Hardy-Weinberg genetic balance test was used to evaluate sample representativeness.The risk factors of vitiligo were analyzed by Logistic regression.Results The TT,CT and CC genotypes of the two groups were con-sistent with Hardy-Weinberg genetic balance law(P>0.05).There were significant differences in the distribution frequency of TT,CT and CC genotypes between the two groups(P<0.01).There were significant differences in the frequencies of T and C alleles between the two groups(P<0.01).Multiple Logistic regression analysis showed that skin trauma history,fami-ly history of vitiligo,TT genotype at rs4946936 site of FOXO3a gene,and T allele at rs4946936 site of FOXO3a gene were risk factors for incidence of vitiligo(P<0.01).Conclusion rs4946936 polymorphism of FOXO3a gene is closely related to susceptibility risk of vitiligo,and TT genotype and T allele of rs4946936 of FOXO3a gene are risk factors for increased suscep-tibility to vitiligo.
