Abstract：Traditional Chinese medicine American ginseng is the dried root of American ginseng,a perennial herb of the Acanthaceae family.Pseudoginsenoside F11(PF11)was first found in American ginseng,and is the main characteristic component of American ginseng that is different from ginseng and Panax notoginseng.This paper aims to review the biological activity of PF11,a special saponin of American ginseng,which is of great significance to reveal the scientific connotation of American ginseng and potential drug development.
