Abstract:Objective To study the effect of the virtual reality simulator in neurointerven-tional training of ischemic cerebrovascular disease for refreshed doctors. Methods Total 64 neuro-logical doctors were trained in the Department of Neurosurgery for ischemic cerebrovascular disease since 2013, and were divided into routine group (n=25) and new method group (n=39). This study was designed to observe the effect of simulator system as a new teaching method. Results For the cerebral angiogram test, the examination average score was ( 86. 7 ± 6. 5 ) in the new method group, higher than that in the routine group. But for the test of the angioplasty for extracranial seg-ment, there was no difference between the two groups. Conclusion The refreshed doctors maybe benefit from the simulator training for mastering the techniques of cerebral angiogram. The simulator system could not replace the strict training of traditional clinical procedure.
