Abstract:Objective To investigate changes of heart rate variability ( HRV) and decelera-tion capacity of heart rate ( DC) in patients with hypertention. Methods Eighty cases of healthy people and 64 cases of patients with hypertention underwent 24 hours ambulatory electrocardiogra-phic recording to analyze the correlationns of DC and HRV time domain index ( SDNN, SDANN, RMSSD, PNN50) , HRV triangular index ( TI) in hypertention group, and compared these items between the two groups. Results The SDNN, SDANN, TI, DC in patients with hypertention signi-ficantly decreased than those in healthy people ( P<0. 01) . However, there was no significant diffe-rence of RMSSD and PNN50 between the two groups. The DC was positively related with SDNN, SDANN, RMSSD and PNN50 in hypertention group ( P<0. 01) . Conclusion HRV and DC in pa-tients with hypertention decreased, there was damage with autonomic nerve function in those pa-tients. DC was positive associatied with HRV time domain index in hypertention group.
