Abstract:Objective To analyze the cerebral blood after unilateral or bilateral intracranial vascular severe stenosis or occlusion and evaluate prognosis. Methods Clinical characteristies and imaging fentures of twenty-five patients with unilateral or bilateral cerebral vascular severe stenosis or occlusion in author’s hospital from March 2014 to November 2015 were analyzed retrospectively. In the 25 cases, 14 cases were males and 11 cases were females with ages from 22 to 71 years old. All cases were diagnosed by digital subtraction angiography ( DSA) or CTA 25 patients received regional cerebral blood flow ( rCBF) defermination by 99m Tc-ethyl-cysteinate dimer single photon emission computed tomography ( SPECT) scans. Results Thirteen patients with good collateral vessels com-pared confirmed by DSA. SPECT showed diffuse slightly decrease in cerebral cortex region in 22 pa-tients, with basal ganglia hypoperfusion in 10 patients, cerebellar hemisphere hypoperfusion in 3 pa-tients, and thalamus hypoperfusion in 9 patients. Three patients were normal. The average score of National Institute of Health stroke scale was 1. 2 on admission, and it was 0. 5 after treament. Con-clusion SPECT rCBF for the assessment of craniocerebral blood supplement in unilateral or bilateral cerebral vascular severe stenosis or occlusion may be safe and useful, especially for those patients whose collateral circulation were not detected by DSA.
