Abstract：Systemic inflammation plays a vital role in carcinogenesis. Neutrophil to lympho-cyte ratio ( NLR) , effectively evaluating the relationship between inflammatory response and immune response, has been regarded as independent predictor of long-term outcomes in cancer patients. This article discuss the NLR's role as a prognostic predictor in gastrointestinal cancer.
