Abstract:Objective To review the efficacy and safety of Reduning injection for treatment of bronchiofitis. Methods Randomized controlled trials ( RCTs) of Reduning injection in the treat-ment of bronchiolitis in infants were searched in Cochrane Library, Pubmed, Embase, CNKI, VIP and WANFANG databases to Aug 2015. The quality of included RCTs was evaluated and the data were extracted by two independent researchers. Meta-analysis were performed with RevMan 5. 3 soft-ware and the GRADE system was applied to rate the quality of evidence. Results Nine RCTs were included in this study, according to the meta analysis results, the effective rate in Reduning group was better than the control group ( RR=1. 19,95﹪CI 1. 06—1. 35, P<0. 05);the length of hospital stay was obviously shorter than the control group ( MD= -1. 61, 95﹪CI -2. 70—-0. 52, P<0. 001) . Two studies described the adverse drug effects, and results showed there was no significant difference between the Reduning and control group ( P>0. 05) . The quality of evidence on effective rate and length of hospital stay were both assessed as low. Conclusion Reduning injection can im-prove the symptoms of bronchiolits and reduce the length of hospital stay with low frequency of ad-verse drug effects. Due to the low quality of evidence, more reasonable design, large multicentre, randomized controlled trials were needed to further confirm this conclusion.
