Advance of medication in myasthenia gravis

Abstract:Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disease, which is antibodies media-ted, immune-dependence, complement participated at the neuromuscular junction. This condition leads to disorder of acetylcholine transmission. Cholinesterase inhibitor therapy combined immuno-suppressive regulating immunity can improve clinical symptoms of MG. Recently, with the develop-ment of drug and intensive care unit, mortality of patients with MG decreased significantly. There has no standard way of MG immunosuppressive therapy, most patients with MG need long-term even life-long drug treatment. Emerging immunosuppresants and monoclonal antibodies are promising new options.
