The efficacy of paiteling on treatment of human papillomavirus infection

Abstract:Objective To explore the treatment efficacy of paiteling on human papillomavirus ( HPV) infection.Methods From May 2010 to December 2012 a case-control study was carried out in the department of obstetrics and gynecology, Navy General Hospital of PLA.253 HPV DNA positive patients were classified into 2 groups randomly.In the experimental group, paiteling was used and in the control group,only observation without any treatment .All patients had HPV tested 3 /6/9 /12 months later.Results After 3 /6 /9 months, the HPV negative conversion rate in the ex-perimental group was 73.43%, 80.46%, 85.16%respectively, which was significantly higher than in the control group ( P<0.05) .There was no significant difference in single infection, mixed infec-tion and reinfection rate between two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Pai teling is effective and safe on eliminating HPV infection.It provides a new srtategy for clinical management.
