Analysis of antibiotic application in the"Peace Ark"hospital ship

Abstract：Objective Analysis of antimicrobial treatment in the "Peace Ark"hospital ship , to provide reference about the application of antibiotics in the disaster medical assistance .Methods In this retrospective survey , we investigated the cases of patients who were given antibiotics , kinds of antibiotic agents and the duration of antibiotic therapy in the course of a disaster medical assis -tance in Phillipines 2013.Results A total of 39 cases of patients were given antibiotics , including 16 cases of perioperative period and 23 cases of anti-infection treatment .Duration of perioperative period medication was 1—5 days, and duration of anti-infection treatment was 1—8 days.The proportion of cases used cephalosporins of the third generation or piperacillin +βlactamases inhibitor was 58.97%, proportion of cases used cephalosporins of the second generation was 30.76%, proportion of cases used cephalosporin of the first generation or penicillin was 10.25%, furthermore,proportion of cases used combined antibiotics with 2 kinds agents was 12.82%.Conclusion The need of antibiotics was increased than the general medical service , besides , indication of antibiotics applications should be more flexible in the course of disaster medical assistance .
