Comparative analysis on clinical policy bulletin of hyperbaric oxygen therapy among China, America and Europe

Abstract：Hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) arose in the 1950s in China and is gradually used for treating various diseases in clinic.Due to the differences of economy system and ideology between Chinese and Western, the understanding and application vary from nation to nation.In this paper, we compared the indications among American Aetna Clinical Policy Bulletin of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, European Consensus Conference on Hyperbaric Medicine, HBO Branch of Chinese Medi-cal Association Recommendations, HBO reimbursement scope for the free medical service and basic medical insurance in Beijing.The comparative analysis may provide preferences for clinical treatment and further research.
