Abstract:Ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 1 ( ENTPD-1, also known as CD39) is an integrated cell transmembrane protein , which can degrade extracellular adenosine triphosphate (ATP), adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and adenosine monophosphate (AMP) into adenosine. It is also a key regulator of purinergic modulation .This review is focused on the important roles of CD39 in ischemia reperfusion injury to multiple tissues , thrombosis, rejection reaction after organ transplation, tumor suppression, and cross-talk between these diseases.
