Abstract：Clinical and Translational Research has been constantly developing since it was formulated.It combines fundamental research,drug development with clinical research.The 4th Sino-American Symposium on Clinical and Translational Medicine was held in June 2013.At the event,the report ′Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute:a statewide laboratory for accelerating clinical and translational research′was presented by Anantha Shekhar MD.PhD.The Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute was established under the guidance of the government. Perfect management mode,reasonable structure and composition,to strengthen the cooperation with the community and pay great attention to talents cultivation are also important.We should take the opportunities and make joint efforts to draw on the experience of other countries.
