Abstract:This paper reviews the systematic public health initiatives undertaken by the 30th Chinese medical team to Guinea, focusing on key issues such as Guinea's healthcare system, infectious disease burden, and vector control.Leveraging international public health advisors, field research, and literature analysis, the team implemented multiple interventions at institutions including the China-Guinea Friendship Hospital, the University of Conakry, health vocational schools, and Chinese-funded enterprises. These included advancing hospital infection management systems, conducting public health capacity training for medical staff, implementing mental health assessments, and innovatively establishing the first vector control office. The introduction of the"Three Circles"integrated mosquito control strategy significantly reduced vector density in key areas.Furthermore, the team provided tailored policy recommendations to Guinea's Ministry of Health(including the Disease Control Bureau and Biosafety Agency),successfully localizing Chinese public health practices such as the Patriotic Health Campaign concept and malaria elimination models. This practice demonstrates that integrating public health professionals into overseas medical assistance teams deepens the integration of medical care and public health, enhancing aid effectiveness.Future China-Africa public health cooperation could further strengthen top-level design, leveraging the One Health concept to advance more systematic disease prevention and control collaboration.
