Investigation and disposal of imported plague epidemic in Yinchuan in 2021

Abstract：Objective To explore the response measures for the imported plague epidemic in Yinchuan in 2021.Methods A retrospective descriptive approach was used to describe the epidemiological investigation and on-site disposal of the plague case,including clinical and laboratory-confirmed information of the plague patient,identification of close contacts and epidemic points,and disinfection,preventive medication,and other control measures.Results In this case of an imported plague,there were no new cases after the maximum incubation period of 9 days,and the urban plague epidemic was fundamentally controlled.Conclusion Strict control of the first case,comprehensive investigation of close contacts and at-risk individuals,implementation of closed management of epidemic points and areas,effective on-site handling,strengthened public opinion monitoring and risk communication,and improved hospital infection control were key to successfully controlling the epidemic.
