Abstract:Objective To investigate the species composition of rodents in Dunhua Area,Jilin Province. Methods Rodents were captured by the day trapping method. Results From April to September 2023,a total of 3 800 rodent traps were placed in nine sites of three habitats in Dunhua Area,Jilin Province, with a total of 623 rodents caught, belonging to 10 species of 8 genera. The total capture rate was 16.4%.The dominant species were Apodemus agrarius(31.8%),Cricetulust triton(24.7%),and Rattus norvegicus(24.1%).Among the three habitats,A.agrarius and C.triton were the dominant species in farmland,R.norvegicus was the dominant species in residential areas, and A.peninsulae was the dominant species in coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forests. The highest capture rate was found in farmland(24.2%),followed by residential areas(16.8%),and the lowest capture rate was in coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forests(6.8%).The capture rate was higher in July and August, and lower in April and May.Conclusion The species composition and capture rate of rodents varies in different habitats and months in Dunhua Area,Jilin Province. This study provides a basis for further research on the species composition and control of rodents.
