Abstract：Objective To investigate the species and distribution of termites in Chengdu of Sichuan Province,so as to provide scientific basis for termite control.Methods Through field survey,specimens were collected extensively and identified by morphological classification.Results A newly recorded species of termites in Chengdu,Pericapritermes nitobei Shiraki was discovered and described.Conclusion The geographical distribution information of the species is supplemented.
