Abstract:Objective To investigate the resistance of Blattella germanica to commonly used insecticides in Shijiazhuang,so as to provide a basis for scientific application of insecticides. Methods The resistance of five commonly used insecticides was determined by residual film method. Results The median knockdown time(KT50)of B.germanica on chlorpyrifos,alpha-cypermethrin,dinotefuran,fipronil,beta-cypermethrin were 56.42,15.99,6.28,269.18,12.34 min, respectively, and the resistance ratios were 16.99,5.19,1.00,38.24 and 2.46,respectively.According to the knockdown resistance standard,B.germanica in Shijiazhuang was high-level resistance to chlorpyrifos and fipronil, moderate resistance to alpha-cypermethrin,low-level resistance to beta-cypermethrin and sensitive to dinotefuran. Conclusion B.germanica in Shijiazhuang has developed different degrees of resistance to five commonly used insecticides. It would be necessary to continuously monitor the resistance development of B.germanica, select low-level resistance insecticides or take other method such as rotating insecticides based on environmental management to delay the development of insecticide resistance.
