Prevention and control strategies for Solenopsis invicta in the southeast coastal region of China

Abstract：Solenopsis invicta is one of the most threatening invasive species in the world,causing serious damage to the ecosystems of invaded areas and posing a potential threat to human health.In this paper,the habits of S.invicta and its spreading and control characteristics in the southeast coastal region of China are sorted out,the prevention and control measures of S.invicta are summarized,the difficulties faced by the current prevention and control work are analyzed,and corresponding prevention and control suggestions are put forward,which points out that it is crucial to carry out the prevention and control of S.invicta in a sustainable and effective way.It can provide references to the prevention and control work of S.invicta.
