Abstract:Ticks, the world's second-largest vector after mosquitoes, have a wide distribution, carry many pathogens, and pose great disease-transmission threats, including cross-species spread. They are a key focus in emerging and re-emerging infectious disease control. This paper introduces the biological characteristics of ticks and their distribution in the southeast coastal region of China, summarizes the epidemiological characteristics of tick-borne diseases and the monitoring methods of ticks, and then proposes targeted control strategies. These strategies are crucial for reducing disease incidence, improving cure rates, and guiding public health control.
