Abstract:Objective To summarize the experience of Aedes vector emergency surveillance and control response of an imported case of dengue fever in Linyi. Methods According to the requirements of the Technical Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Dengue Fever issued by Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, sampling, testing, epidemiological investigation, emergency surveillance and control response were performed for a suspected case of dengue fever from Côte d'Ivoire. Results The imported dengue case from Africa in July 2024 was confirmed by quantitative PCR.From July 25 to August 16,by taking a series of emergency control measures for mosquito vectors, such as rapid killing of adult mosquitoes, management of breeding sites, isolation and treatment of cases, and health education, the Breteau index(BI)in the core area decreased from 44 to 1,and the net trap index decreased from 5.33 to 0 mosquito/(net·h).The breeding sites of the Aedes larvae were mainly in storage basin, tank and can(46.26%),followed by miniascape and hydrophyte(26.38%)and idle container(24.69%).The positive rate of Aedes larvae in bamboo head, tree hole and stone hole(77.78%)was the highest, followed by idle container(17.70%),and the difference was statistically significant(x2=70.87,P<0.001).Conclusion Management of common breeding sites for Aedes larvae, such as storage basin, tank and can, idle container, should be strengthened. And based on the scientific and reasonable Aedes vector emergency surveillance and control measures, the densities of dengue vector Aedes can be reduced to control the risk of transmission of dengue fever.
