Abstract:Objective To understand the resistance level of Aedes albopictus to commonly used insecticides in the urban area of Xianyang,so as to provide scientific basis for rational selection and use of insecticides and guiding the control of Ae.albopictus.Methods The adult mosquito contact bucket method and larval immersion method recommended by WHO were used to determine the resistance of Ae.albopictus to commonly used insecticides.SPSS 26.0 software was used to calculate the median lethal concentration(LC50)of insecticides against mosquitoes and the toxicity regression equation. Results In 2016,the mortality rates of adult mosquitoes treated with beta-cypermethrin,deltamethrin and permethrin were 98.90%,98.00%,and 95.92%,respectively.The resistance ratios of Ae.albopictus in Xianyang to beta-cypermethrin,permethrin,temephos,and deltamethrin, were 5.59,2.48,2.94,and 1.58,respectively.In 2023,the mortality rates of adult mosquitoes treated with malathion, cypermethrin, deltamethrin, and beta-cypermethrin were 97.89%,57.14%,47.87%and 74.44%,respectively.The resistance ratios of Ae.albopictus to beta-cypermethrin,deltamethrin,alpha-cypermethrin,and temephos were 37.86,332.26,8.77,and 6.71,respectively.Conclusion The resistance of Ae.albopictus to common insecticides in Xianyang had increased in 2023 compared with those of 2016,and the resistance level to deltamethrin was the highest.Ae.albopictus showed a high-level resistance to beta-cypermethrin and deltamethrin, and a low-level resistance to alpha-cypermethrin and temephos. It was suggested that insecticides should be used rationally and alternately,so as to delay the development of resistance.
