Current situation and integrated management of termite damage in Jimo District,Qingdao

Abstract：Objective To understand the status of termite damage in Jimo district,Qingdao.Methods A baseline survey on the status of termite damage in Jimo District was conducted by the field visit during 2023 to 2024 and the data from termite management project system in recent years.Results The main species of termite was Reticulitermes speratus in Jimo District,29.28%houses were damaged by termite in 5 streets or towns,and the most serious area of termite damage were Tianheng Town.Conclusion The houses in Jimo District are seriously damaged by termite,which endangers the house safety and village appearance.The termite control of Jimo District should be taken as a long-term task,and scientific and reasonable control strategies should be formulated.
