Evaluation on the application effect of rodio frequency identification technology in quality management of reusable soft medical device

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of radio frequency identification(RFID)on the tracking management of the whole process of establishing surgical sterile barrier with reusable soft medical device.Methods Using RFID technology,RFID chips with unique identification codes were installed on reusable soft medical devices to achieve non-contact batch traceability,identification and recording through the quality traceability system.100 reusable soft medical device(surgical instrument pack cloth)were selected for investigation by manual recording and RFID recording,and each was scrapped after being used for≥50 times.The manual data recorded was compared with the data recorded by the RFID traceability system,and the time spent on manual inventory was compared with that of RFID terminal inventory.The quality data of the reusable soft medical device(surgical instrument pack cloth)after manual recording was compared with that of the RFID record,and the accuracy,efficiency,average weight loss,average tear strength and average bacterial resistance of the reusable soft medical device(surgical instrument pack)were calculated for effect evaluation.Minitab 15 software was used for statistical analysis,and t-test was used for comparison between different groups.Results Based on RFID technology,after quality management of reusable soft medical device,the accuracy rate was increased by 6.54%,the efficiency was increased by 97.63%,and the average weight loss,average tear strength and average bacteria resistance of reusable soft medical device(surgical instrument package)were increased by 0.06 g,0.23 N and 8.01%,respectively.Conclusion Based on RFID technology,it can realize the tracking and management of the whole process of using the moving path of reused soft medical devices,improve the accuracy and efficiency of the inventory of reused soft medical devices,improve the antibacterial effect of reusable soft medical devices,reduce costs,save human resources,prevent surgical site infection,and ensure medical safety.
