Analysis of the surveillance results of important vectors in Laixi City from 2018 to 2022

Abstract：Objective To understand the density,species composition,seasonal fluctuation of important vectors and the monitoring results of different habitats in Laixi City,Shandong Province,so as to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of vectors and vector-borne infectious diseases in Laixi City.Methods According to the requirements of the national and provincial vector monitoring programs,combined with the geographical orientation and habitat characteristics of Laixi City,monitoring sites were set up for rodents,cockroaches,mosquitoes and flies,and the monitoring was carried out by night trapping method,sticky trapping method,light trapping method and cage trap method,respectively.The x2 test or Fisher's exact probability method was used for data analysis,and the Mann-Kendall test was used for trend analysis.Results From 2018 to 2022,a total of 201 rodents were captured,with an average rodent density of 2.41％,of which 46.27％were Mus musculus,which was the dominant rodent species in Laixi City.The peak of rodent density occurred in spring and autumn.A total of 2 019 cockroaches were captured,with an average cockroach density of 0.30 cockroaches per sheet,all of which were Blattella germanica.The cockroach density was highest in the catering industry,and the invasion rate was highest in residential areas,with the peak of cockroach density roughly in May and September.A total of 20 461 female mosquitoes were captured,with an average mosquito density of 10.18 mosquitoes/(light·night),of which 69.64％were Culex mosquitoes,which was the dominant mosquito species.The density of mosquitoes in the wetland park was high,with a density of 14.36 mosquitoes/(light·night).The peak of mosquito density occurred in July to August.A total of 6 331 flies were captured,with an average density of flies was 18.73 flies/cage,and the density of flies was high in farmers'markets and restaurants.The dominant fly species was Musca domestica,accounting for 36.42％of the total flies,and the peak of flies was in August.Conclusion The habitats with high densities of rodents,cockroaches,mosquitoes and flies in Laixi City are rural areas,restaurants and residential areas,wetland parks and pigsties,and farmers'markets and catering environments,respectively,which is the key areas of vector control in Laixi City.It is necessary to strengthen the comprehensive management of the environment in key places,eliminate the breeding sites of vectors in a timely manner during the peak period of vector density,and reduce the risk of vector-borne infectious diseases.
