Investigation on Blattella germanica density in Baiyin City from 2020 to 2023

Abstract：Objective To understand the seasonal fluctuation and habitat distribution of Blattella germanica in Baiyin City,and provide reference for control work.Methods The stick plates were applied for the investigation.Results From 2020 to 2023,the density of B.germanica was detected every month,and the density gradually increased after March,showing a unimodal curve,and gradually decreased after the density peak in July.The density and infestation rate of B.germanica were the highest in restaurants,as 2.28 and 15.32%,respectively.The density and infestation rates of all habitats were ranked from highest to lowest as restaurants,farmers'markets,supermarkets,residential areas,and hotels,and no B.germanica was detected in hospitals.Conclusion The distribution of B.germanica in Baiyin City was preliminarily understood,and the control work should focus on catering sites.
