The United States updates the list of pests of significant public health importance

Abstract：In 2023,the U.S.Environmental Protection Agency(EPA)updated the list of pests of significant public health importance.The list includes several hundred species categorized into arthropods,vertebrates,and microorganisms.For each listed pest,the document provides annotations in both English and Latin for their biological names and scientific names.It also specifies the substantial impact on public health and clinical significance of associated symptoms.This article compiles and organizes the list,offering a reference for the management of relevant pests in China.
