A survey on rodents in some regions of Tibet

Abstract：Objective To understand the distribution of rodents in some areas of Tibet.Methods Night trapping method was performed for the rodent surveillance in the field of Linzhou County,Yadong County and Sangzhuzi District.Results A total of 124 rodents were captured,belonging to 3 species(Ochotona curzoniae,Mus musculus and Phaiomys leucurus),3 genera,3 families.38 rodents were captured from Linzhou County,74 from Yadong County and 12 from Sangzhuzi District.Ochotona curzoniae was the dominant species,accounting for 85.4%.Conclusion Monitoring and control work should be strengthened in areas where rodents are widely distributed.
