Investigation on insects of Ceratopogonidae in Shaanxi

Abstract：Objective To grasp the species and distribution of Ceratopogonidae insects in Shaanxi Province.Methods Insects were captured with trap of tent and person,trap oflivestock and light and capturing net.Results There were 4 subfamilies and 10 genera and 50 species of Ceratopogonidae in Shaanxi Province,including one species of Alluaudomyia,twenty five species of Culicoides,one species of Mallochoheleaa,one species of Palpomyia,one species of Stilobezzia;five species of Dasyhelea;three species of Atrichopogon,ten species of Forcipomyia,one species of Lasiohelea and two species of Leptoconops;Among them,species of Culicoides was the most captured (50.00％ of the total species),followed by Forcipomyia (20.00％) and Dasyhelea (10.00％).The species compositions,distribution and dominant population were different with regions.The active seasons of the insects were also different with species and the regions.Conclusion The species,distributions and behaviors of Ceratopogonidae insects in Shaanxi Province were better understood.
