Investigation of rodents in frontiers of China and North Korea

Abstract:Objective To investigate species distribution,community composition and ecological circumstance of rodents in frontier of China and North Korea.Methods Catching rodent by traps and cages.Results A total of 1 295 rodents belonging to 5 families 15 genera 17 species were captured in frontier of China and North Korea.The dominant species were Apodemus peninsulae (34.67%) and Apodemus agraius (25.48%).The community composition of rodents varied with different places and habitats.There were biting activation for Apodemus peninsulae and Clethrionomys rufocanus from April to Septemper,only one peak of Apodemus peninsulae and Clethrionomys rufocanus in the late fifteen days of July.Conclusion The investigation provided basis for further studying on ecological circumstance and controlling of rodents in frontier of China and North Korea.
