Comparison on C02 trap and labor hour method in Culex pipiens pallens surveillance

Abstract：Objective To compare the mosquito capture effect between the CO2 trap and labor hour method in Culex pipiens pallens surveillance,and provide a reference for conversion and utilization of long-term monitoring data,and forsearching scientific and standard surveillance of mosquitoes.Methods Using CO2 trap and labor hour method to monitor Cx.pipiens pallens in Pudong District of Shanghai.The monitoring was conducted once for ten days.Results The seasonal variation of Cx.pipiens pallens monitored by CO2 trap and labor hour method was much similar.With the correlation analysis of CO2 trap and labor hour method in monitoring the density of Cx.pipiens pallens,linearly dependent coefficient was 0.698 1,P ＜ 0.05.As Cx.pipiens pallens monitoring methods,there was statistic relationship between the monitoring data of CO2 trap and labor hour method,and the linear regression equation was established as y =(1.12 ± 0.24) x + (3.32 ± 0.99),r =0.698 1,P ＜ 0.05.Conclusion The monitoring data of these two methods can be used for data conversion and utilization.
