Abstract:Objective To understand the population, density and seasonal growth and decline of vectors in Jinzhou, and provide basis for vector control. Methods The monitoring sites were set up scientifically, and the mosquitoes, flies, rodents and cockroaches were monitored by means of light trap, trap method, night trapping method and sticky trap method. Results The average density of mosquitoes was 7.61 insects per lamp per hour, peaked in August. The highest mosquito density was 20.29 insects per lamp per hour, happened in the barn. The dominant specie was Culex pipiens pallens accounting for 82.80%.The average density of flies was about 18.65 insects per cage in an hour, peaked in July. The highest density of flies was 69.6 insects per cage per hour, happened in the catering environment. The dominant specie was Lucilia sericata accounting for 46.71%.The average density of rodents was 2.13 %,peaked in April and October. The dominant specie was Rattus norvegicus accounting for 67%.The density of cockroaches was 0.12 insects per sheet, and the infestation rate was 10.86%,and reached the peak in June and July. The highest density of cockroaches was 0.12 insects per sheet, happened in the farmer's market and catering environment, all of the captured cockroaches were Blattella germanica. Conclusion The vectors biological density of Jinzhou were relatively high.It is necessary to take integrated pest management strategy to control vectors.
