Control effect evaluation of rodents and cockroaches of Lanzhou in 2014

Abstract：Objective To assess the control effect of rodents and cockroaches in Lanzhou City,and provide scientific basis for creating the National Health City.Methods Comprehensive control measures were carried out.Rodent trace method and visual method were applied for effect evaluation.Results In 2014,760 rooms were checked in all types of places,positive rate of rodent trace was 3.55％.The infestation rate of cockroaches was 1.18％,and the cockroach trace detection rate was 1.05％.In key industries,the positive rate of rodent trace was 5.00％,and cockroaches at a rate of 1.73％,and the cockroach trace detection at a rate of 1.54％.Conclusion After two rounds of vector control,the densities of urban rodents and cockroaches reached the level of C stipulated for the national health city.However,the densities of rodents and cockroaches in some places were still out of limits,mainly in catering and supermarkets.Further efforts should be made to strengthen the prevention and control of vector borne diseases in key industries.
