Abstract:Objective To provide scientific basis for the prevention of mosquitos and flies through monitoring their density fluctuation, environmental distribution and seasonal variation in Miyun District of Beijing in 2016.Methods Mosquito and fly density were monitored respectively with lamp traps and cage traps. Results In 2016,the average mosquito density was 1.31 insects per lamp-hour with the peak appeared in the middle of July.Culex pipiens pallens was the dominant species. The hospital of traditional Chinese medicine was found with the highest mosquito density. The average fly density was 2.42 insects per cage with the peaks appeared in the middle of April and early August.Flesh fly was the dominant species. The residential area was found with the highest fly density. Conclusion Compared with the past 3 years, the density of mosquito was lower, the fly density increased a little;monitoring work should be carried out persistently and prevention of mosquito and fly should be implemented early in Miyun District.
