Cockroach density monitoring in Yancheng from 2014 to 2016

Abstract：Objective To understand the changes of cockroaches distribution and density in Yancheng City,and provide scientific basis for cockroach control.Methods Sticky trap method was applied in the monitoring based on the national standard GB/T 23795-2009.Results The average density was 0.599 insects per piece from 2014 to 2016,and the density was in the low level every year.The average invasion rate was 3.320％,showing a rising trend year by year.The density peak appeared from April to September,and the highest invasion rate appeared from May to September.The dominant population was Blattella germanica.The highest density and invasion rate occurred in farmer's market and restaurants.Conclusion The density was controlled under the national standard,while the invasion was serious.
