Epidemiological analysis in gerbil plague foci of Ningxia in 2013

Abstract:Objective To explore the sensitivity of plague surveillance in gerbil plague foci of Ningxia,and to provide guidance for the prediction and early warning of plague.Methods Collecting gerbil plague relevant information in Ningxia in 2013,descriptive epidemiology of animal plague was employed.Results There were 5 strains of Yersinia pestis found in gerbil plague foci of Ningxia in 2013,including 4 strains of animal and 1 strain of insect insects.The positive rate of live test was 0.83 ‰ per year.The positive detection rate was 25% from the self dead rats,and 0.78 ‰ from fleas.Conclusion Gerbil animal plague epidemic of Ningxia is in the active state.The implementation of monthly monitoring should be done to the field of dead rodent for the work of the focus.It is necessary to strengthen the monitoring should be done and early warning mechanism.
